1992 Paul Rhudy and Steve Bower borrow $5000 on a 90 day note, go to a local warehouse and buy enough merchandise to fill an old van and Southern Autobody Supply is born. Paul drives around to body shops and sells merchandise off the van while Steve keeps track of the paperwork in addition to his teaching job.
1994 Southern Autobody Supply hires a driver to deliver merchandise sold the previous day. Both Paul and Steve start calling on customers and taking orders. Southern Autobody is a barn, old tractor trailer, cell phones and a growning number of loyal customers.
1996 Southern Autobody Supply open its first retail location at 99 Service Lane Ringgold, GA just across the state line outside of East Ridge TN.
1998 Southern Autobody Supply purchases Auto Cool Inc. in Hixson TN and begins selling radiators, condensors and air-conditioning products.
1999 Southern Autobody Supply moves to 6000 Ringgold Road and moves Auto Cool from Hixson to Ringgold Road location.
2000 Southern Autobody Supply begins selling PPG paint.
2003 Southern Autobody Supply purchases stores from Autobody Supply in Dalton GA and Calhoun GA.
2005 Southern Autobody Supply purchases Auto Color assets on Gifford Street in Chattanooga and becomes a Platinum PPG distribitutor
2006 Southern Autobody Supply Inc. exceeds 5 million dollars in annual sales.
2007 Southern Autobody Supply consolidates two Chattanooga stores into one large facility at 1823 Rossvile Ave Chattanooga TN and sells Auto Cool division.
2008 Southern Autobody Supply introduces PPG Envirobase (enviromentally friendly) paint to the Chattanooga market.
